Programmes & Activities

The DLLE conducted the Post Graduate Diploma Course in Continuing Education and Management (PGDCEM). From the Academic year 2002-2003 the Department has run three batches of the Course with total 29 Students.

BASIC EDUCATION PROGRAMMES:

From 1978 to 1995 the DLLE was the most actively conducting literacy classes in the five districts of the University’s are of operation thereby benefiting over 65000 adults. It started developing the post-literacy and Continuing Education Dimension from 1987 when it opened the First Jana Shikshan Nilayam (Community Education Centre) of the Country.

The Department is one of the Accredited Centers of The National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS). The Department has been permitted by NIOS to enroll 500 students for Secondary and Sr. Secondary Course per Year. From the year 2005-06 we have been enrolling students for Secondary and Sr. Secondary Classess. Every year the Department is conducting Personal Contact Programs for the Students of NIOS.

The DLLE also offers Computer based Functional Literacy through the Community Education Centers. The DLLE has organized two state level workshops on Computer Based Functional Literacy.
